Quad Kids
The children competed in 50m, 400m, Standing Long Jump and Vortex throw.  The teams came 1st and 5th.  A special mention to Tom who was one of the highest scoring boys during the afternoon and Georgie and Martha who were amongst the highest scoring girls during the afternoon.

 

Logo Competition

This year Hazledene have a 1st and 2nd place in the Sports Logo Competition which is run by School Sports Partnership. 
Well done to Shelby in year 4 for coming 1st and Mario in year 3 who came 2nd. The value this year was 'Teamwork'.
Shelby's winning logo will be printed on t-shirts that competitors will be wearing at the Winter and Summer School Games. 
Shelby says she's very excited about winning!!! 
Mario says he is sure his mum will be proud of him!!!

On Tuesday 20th October Year 4 will be attending a Sports Festival at Goldington Academy.  This Festival will include Sports Hall Athletics and  Hockey.  The children will take part in small sided games and races as well as learn new skills.  Have fun Year 4! (updated: 19th Oct2015)

Sports Development

The Borough Council Sports Development Team run an ongoing annual programme of sports, play and physical activity programmes/events for all members of the community. Including: Play schemes, Sports Coaching, Dance Festival, Junior Aquathlons, Over 70s activity, Disability sports sessions, coach education and much more…… As well as running activity we promote a variety of job opportunities within sport, offer help on grant funding and local workshops for voluntary clubs.

The section aims to provide quality opportunities at all levels of sport, promoting sport as an activity that enables individuals to develop their own performances to their maximum potential, whilst highlighting the personal and social benefits of a healthy lifestyle.
