Nursery

We have a nursery on site for children age 3+. The children have a dedicated space within our Early Years setting. The nursery has morning and afternoon places Monday to Friday, term time only (with an optional lunch club).

 Session Times and fees

  The nursery is open Monday - Friday, term time only. The following sessions are available:

Children are funded for 15 hours from the term after they turn 3 years of age and we accept 30 hour funding.

Please note: When a child is ill, absent or goes home early from Nursery or takes a holiday, no refund will be permissible

Any additional sessions are £12.50 per session

A snack is provided for your child/ren at each session at no additional cost

Lunch sessions are £2.25 where you can either provide a packed lunch for your child/ren or have a school lunch at an additional cost paid via School Grid

 Nursery Admissions

Hazeldene School has a Nursery class that is open on a term time basis and currently has places as follows:

• Monday to Thursday up to 24 children in the morning, lunch and afternoon.
• Friday up to 16 children in the morning, lunch and afternoon

Children may be admitted into the Nursery class the day after their third birthday, however these sessions will need to be paid for until the funding comes into effect the term after they turn three. They may attend for up to fifteen hours of government funded sessions a week and additional extra sessions can be paid for by the parent or you are able to use the 30 hour government funding.

The morning session starts at 8.45am until 11.45am. If you would like your child to stay for lunch the session starts at 11.45am and you may collect your child at 12.15pm or they stay for the afternoon session. The afternoon session starts at 12.15pm until 3.15pm unless your child is having lunch before the session. Then you would bring them in at 11.45am.

Please note our nursery is full for this academic year and we only have minimal sessions available for September 2025 starters.

The school administers applications into the Nursery class. Acceptance into the Nursery class does not guarantee a place in the Reception classes in the September.
